Centrifugal Concentrators, HyperVAC-LITETM and HyperVAC-MAXTM

  Overview

The HyperVAC-LITE is an affordable, general purpose, centrifugal vacuum concentrator used for rapid, environmentally friendly and efficient vacuum concentration or drying of samples such as DNA/RNA, nucleotides, proteins and other liquid or wet samples with ease, reproducibility and with maintenance of sample integrity. The HyperVAC-MAX has a larger centrifuge body that accommodates a larger roto,r enhancing the capacity of samples to be processed simultaneously.

The HyperVAC-LITE can accommodate from 48 x 2.0 mL and 76 x 0.5 mL micro-tubes to 5 x 50 mL tubes and micro-plates. The HyperVAC-MAX can be used with 200 x 2.0 mL micro-tubes to 12 x 50 mL tubes and deep well plates.

These units evaporate solvents at room temperature to 80 ºC and low pressure without freezing. Easy-to-use automatic systems include timer, start/stop function, vacuum control, adjustable chamber temperature, digital read-out of vacuum and a programming facility. They have a modular design for easy up-grade.

The HyperVAC is used with a drip catcher and an ice cube container unit, connectors including hoses and clips. The evaporation rate can be increased by employing ice cubes around the drip catcher. A HyperVAC concentrator could be connected to a HyperCOOL unit as a cold trap, for more evaporation capacity.

The HyperVAC system requires a vacuum source that generates at least 7 mbar (36 liter per minute), which is perfect for chemical solvent evaporation.
